Identity Is Not Replacement
When Prairie enters Nina’s dimension, the temptation is to treat Nina as a costume or alternate file. The show resists that. Prairie needs Nina’s memories, language, and embodied life to understand the house and her own role.
Integration As Power
Integration gives Prairie more agency because she stops treating the new dimension as merely a place she fell into. Accepting Nina makes her less fragmented, which matters in a universe where fragmentation is exactly what Hap exploits.
